Since these updates are conveniently named by the year and release number, you can tell that Acumatica 2018 R1 is the first round of updates for this year. The second round should be released sometime in Q4.

From better dashboards to search filters, generic inquiries, and even more mobile capabilities, the development team at Acumatica made sure to address user requests with 2018 R1.
As more companies move to the cloud and choose Acumatica to get them there, the ERP vendor has had to meet increasingly complex financial management module requests. In the newest round, Acumatica users can now access true multi-company functionality, split and reclassify transactions, utilize retainage accounting, and use advanced AP and AR reconciliation tools.
Since CRM is the heart of the Acumatica system, the cloud ERP vendor has made sure that CRM connects to every facet in the 2018 R1 build. They’ve also added new tracking and reporting features that will help the sales team and the back office.
- Project Accounting
With enhanced tracking and reporting in Project Accounting, the cloud ERP can now comfortably handle pivot tables and complex change orders while also offering more flexible billing options.
- Field Service Edition
This round includes a new Field Service Edition, which supports your on-the-go service team with real-time GPS, standardized billing, enhanced equipment warranty tracking, and contract lifecycle enhancements.
